Advertising and the College Student

This blog is about a Mississippi State commercial. The commercial is shown during the games during football and basketball seasons. It shows what makes Mississippi State unique. To market to college students they show Dan Mullens singing a fight song along with other students. They show school spirit in the commercial, which is a huge deal to some students. Cheerleaders showing school spirit is always a big thing too. They also show a student in a chemistry lab, which you wouldn't think of in a school spirit kind of commercial.

My Love of Running

The thought of winning a medal. The thought of getting in shape. The thought of finishing a 5 or 10k knowing I accomplished something and might help someone to do the same. My love of running was shady over the past 6 months I would admit. I was doing it just to please my friends. It got to the point where I gave up, due to the fact that I was afraid I couldn't compete with my good friend Casey. Now I'm starting to fall in love with running again- this time for the right reasons. My first race will be the infamous Coca-Cola 10k race in Corinth on May 5th. This race will be in honor of my great Aunt Dorothy who is in the hospital right now. I want to do this for her. When I start training tomorrow, my sole focus will be to do this for a person who has meant a lot to me, who has believed in me for a long time, and for someone who has a great spirit and a beautiful heart. When I run it's just me and God. The place where I run is the trail in which the high school runs cross country. 6.2 miles will be a challenge, but a challenge that will be well worth it. My desire to succeed will be unwavered as I strive to do this for a person who means a lot to not only me but a lot to my mom as well. I hope this has helped you gain a better understanding of me.
