Me and My Faith

Hey everyone. I wanted to talk about my faith because it means so much to me. I'm a Christian- have been for the past 7 years. I've struggled with a lot of things over those 7 years, but those struggles have made me the 27 year old man that I am today. When I surround myself with good people, it makes my faith grow even stronger. I'm blessed to have so many brothers and sisters in Christ who love me and will do anything to make sure I don't fall into temptation. Over the past 4 years, I've felt like God is calling on me to work with youth. I have a lot of younger friends who are Christians, and it's truly an honor for me to be in the position to minister to these kids and be a role model to them. This May God has given me the chance to speak at a youth rally in Alabama. That's what faith in Him can do. I've been told that I have such a strong faith and that I'm a good Christian- sometimes it's hard for me to live up to those expectations, but I'm truly blessed to know that people see the good in me. It took me a long time to see the good I have in me, but I embrace it with open arms, and I would not change anything. I'm going to be honest with you guys- it took Mormon missionaries coming to my house to make me realize what I have, and I love those guys for showing me what I was missing. My faith goes beyond showing others love, not just to my friends but also to my enemies as well. Having faith is one thing- really believing in it is another. If it was not for faith, I would not be back at school right now, and I would not have strong friendships and a love for others and to be able to be a witness to these people. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you have a blessed day.

  1. It's true, you can let the troubles in life either break you down or build you up, and I truely believe that you chose the ladder.

  2. I'm glad you have truly deemed yourself a Christian, most call themselves the former due to their "religion", one based on their parents ideals typically. I have met people in other countries have no idea what Christianity is yet they lead their lives JUST as Jesus instructed, it's amazing to know that most humans do feel a "hole", something missing in their lives that separates them from the rest of the planets living things. Faith, hope, and doing good unto others fills that hole. No matter what you believe in, believe in one thing, we are ALL connected and are ALL creations of something that wanted us to treat each other better than we would treat ourselves.

  3. Great words indeed! Everyone has an idea of perfection, which is considered to be God. One thing that separates Christians from the rest of the world is that we believe that there is a personification of that perfection, which is Jesus Christ. So I don't look at him just as my Savior, but also as a father and friend.
